Living the Dream Class

Every once in a while it's great to take a class at Big Picture Classes. I find the different challenges, journaling prompts, and sketches so inspiring! The first prompt of Living the Dream was My Life. This page is all about my life right now. I have hidden journaling behind the large photo of me. The diamond pattern came with the handout for the class. This was the most intricate cutting and matting I've completed in a very long time. This is a great way to include so many photos on one layout.

The second prompt was Family. The sketch had layers of trim, patterned paper, border punches, and bling.
Next up is Friends. Having the prompts for journaling ahead of the sketch was perfect for me. It made me approach my layouts differently. I usually put together the journaling after most of the design is complete. With this approach, the writing was done before I put it all together. I found that I wrote more this way, and it strengthened the layouts stories.

Fourth in the series is Dreaming About Motherhood. On the sketch, Linda interspersed her journaling between strips of photos that show what motherhood means to her. I chose to put my journaling in a block at the bottom and use washi tape strips to separate my photos. I also used foam tape to lift some of the photos up for dimension.

I still have six more Living the Dream prompts to complete the journey! Loving Living the Dream!
